Girl Scouting is ....
... the world's preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls - all girls - where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, like leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential self-worth.
... a place where girls are encouraged to try new things and experiment with new ideas. They are expected to be decision-makers and leaders. They can take risks and learn from their mistakes in a supportive environment of their peers without social pressures to conform to stereotyped expectations.
...the girls are led by trained volunteer leaders who guide the planning and carrying out of activities as well as providing a positive role model for the girls.
